Best Goalie Chole Minas Chole has been one of the most consistent goalkeepers in the league, she makes key saves and keeps gives her team the chance to win every game no matter how big the task may be. She plays a team game and has excellent leadership. Her ability to be a leader and to be a key in her teams success was the reason why we rewarded her with the Best Goalie Award. Most Valuable Player Domenic Teoli Domenic has an amazing shot, with which he has scored many goals for his team and has occasionally won games by himself. He is a key offensive player for the Vipers and seems to get better every game. However, like his shot, Domenic has an amazing passing ability that allowed him to set up teammates to score. He is able to find them when they are open and uses them extremely well. One thing that had us choose him for the Most Valuable player was not only his offense or leadership but his defensive game as well. He plays extremely well in all sections and it is for that reason that he is our winner. Best Sportsmanship Award Ryan Medeiros Ryan was always honest and a very good team player. If the referee missed a goal,Ryan would step up and have the referee know, even if the goal was scored on his own team. He would also pass the ball better then anyone else which allowed all his teammates to touch the ball during the game. The one thing that made Ryan stand out was his ability to speak and reason accordingly, if his team was given a penalty he would not talk back and would find a solution to prevent that from happening. That along with his ability to ensure safety to his teammates and the opposing teams (checking if they were okay after a fall or slight injury by stopping the ball) made him the winner of the Fair Play Award! Most Improved Players Tristan Clement Tristan started in the league as a defensive player that would normally be out of position and a player that did not receive many scoring chances in a game. However, as time went on and he began to develop he quickly got better and better. He was a lot better defensively and was a lot more confident in his abilities to block a shot, pass the ball and even shoot. Tristan became a key player in his teams success to winning the league with his defensive play and the increased confidence. One way to show his increased confidence was at the beginning of the season he did not take face-offs but as the season went on he started to step up to take them and it elevated his overall game. Way to go Tristan! Daniel Skothos Daniel much like Tristan lacked confidence at the start of the season but that quickly changed as he got more experience and more playing time. Daniel become a very good defensive player by clearing the ball out of his zone, blocking shots and even making some key passes to start a transition. As the season went on Daniel became more confident in his abilities and it showed as he started to become an extremely strong defensive player. Nicely done Daniel! |
