About TOSTHL

The Toronto Original Six Table Hockey League  (TOSTHL) is the only table hockey league registered with the Canadian Table Hockey Association that plays on the Artizan game which is the largest table hockey game in the world (4’ X 7’ or about the size of a standard pool table).  Besides being a very large playing surface, the Artizan game is as close to real hockey that table hockey has ever reached.  Unlike the smaller games, passing is not only possible but is critical.  The puck is easily raised and picking the upper corners with wrist shots or slap shots is very important.  It is even possible to set up defensemen for shots from the point.

Games consist of a full three periods with each periods lasting five minutes. We play a thirty game season beginning in early October and the playoffs begin in May usually ending in late June.

In the first three seasons we had just the “Original Six” teams – Boston Bruins, Chicago Black Hawks, Detroit Red Wings, Montreal Canadiens, New York Rangers and the Toronto Maple Leafs.  Last season we expanded to ten teams with the addition of the Minnesota North Stars, Pittsburgh Penguins, Philadelphia Flyers and Oakland Seals. 

We play in the Beaches area of Toronto (near Queen and Woodbine).  We have just finished our fourth season.  We are considering expanding to twelve teams for the 2005 – 2006 season.
