After getting input from the players and considering several different options, league commissioner Paul Fratto has decided on the playoff format for this season. Traditionally, the playoffs have been a two week, single elimination series, but this year will be different. The playoffs will run for 4 weeks. For the first 3 weeks, the first place team from the regular season will play the 4th place team and the 2nd place team will play the 3rd place team in a best-of-three series. Then in the 4th week, the 2 winning teams will play each other in a championship game. Therefore, the regular season will be 14 weeks long with the final game on April 7th. The first game of the playoffs (the first game of the three game series) will be the following week on April 14th. The final game of this series will be April 28th with the championship game scheduled for May 5th. The complete schedule can be found on this Web page.
