At this year's annual GM meeting, the GMs and I agreed to make a couple of rule changes to enhance the enjoyment of the game.  

RULE CHANGES:

1) After a goal is scored, the team advancing the ball must establish the offensive zone with the ball before they are allow to take a slap shot.  Not following this rule will result in a loss of possession.

2) The two top teams in the standings are only allowed to trade with the remaining 4 teams.  This will hopefully create more parity in the league.
