Each team was allowed to protect up to three players plus the General Manager. All remaining players are unprotected and will go back into the draft. Prior to all unprotected players returning to the draft, team RED will select three players. These players will retain their current salaries. Once team RED has selected their three players, the remaining players will be put back into the draft at a reduced salary. 1.5 million will be deducted from all unprotected players salaries, to a minimum of $2,500,000

BLOCKBUSTER Trade
After leading the league in points in the 2004 - 2005 season, the BUZZ have moved what was thought to be their franchise player (Sean McCormack). They blame the salary cap as the reason for the move. Marc Hoekstra was quoted on the big deal as saying.
"Salary restraints have forced the Buzz to look at moving some of their high priced talent. As a result the Money and the Buzz have worked out a BLOCKBUSTER deal last night".
Trade Details:
Going to the BUZZ = Clarence Chai, Chris Gaudon and a 2nd round draft pick (6th overall)
Going to the MONEY = Sean McCormack and 1st round Draft pick
Go to the discussion board and let me know who won the trade. Did the BUZZ win? or the Money? Did Hoekstra take advantage of poor Bruce? The jury is out. What do you think?
2005 - 2006 Entry Draft Players
The 2005 - 2006 Entry Draft scheduled for October 6th will feature a total of 16 players. Below is the list of players that will be drafted to one of four teams. First year players automatically receive an entry salary of $2,500,000. All returning players have had their salaries slashed by $1,500,000.
All scouting reports indicate that this draft year will be the best the league has seen in it's history. Only time will tell if these guys know how to play or they are just bullshitting the GMs by pumping up their profiles.
Best of luck to the GMs in their player selections. I look forward to seeing you all at the 2005 - 2006 Entry Draft.

Player Stats & Salaries - October 8th, 2005
What a great opening weekend. Lots of scoring, great goaltending and even a little altercation. Who could ask for more. The BUZZ appear to be the team to beat (on paper) but failed to get their guys out. I'm sure there will be some harsh words from their General Manager. The Red Army may be the new team to beat. They are fast, skilled and can put the ball in the back of the net. However, if they keep winning games and scoring goals, their GM will be in a tough position. He will have to trade some of his raw talent to another team.
Below are the Player Stats & Salaries after the games on October 8th, 2005. If you see a problem with the numbers, let me know.
