Week two of the 3rd year of the BRHL featured some exciting action. The two undefeated teams went head to head with the Whalers stomping the Otters by a score of 15-6. Cory McCarney played a great game in nets for the victory. In the other game at the same time the Genrals picked up their first victory over the struggling Frontenacs by a score of 17-8. Mike Byrne picked up 13 points and was also ejected form the game for an instigating minor with under 5 minutes left. Tyler Mandzuk lead the way offencively for the Frontenacs while Mitch Rouleau lit up the lamp numerous times, as did Jamie Smith. In the second set of games the Whalers came up slow but still deafeated the Frontenacs by a score of 17-10. the Frontenacs played a man short the whole day and were upset with their fellow teammates." Its b*** s***," Frontenacs goaltender Tyler Mandzuk was quoted as saying," as far as im concerned[todays 2nd game] will be my last game as a Frontenac." Stephane Melcohe also went on record requesting a trade. In the most exciting game of the day the Generals survived a later Otters comeback, and defated the Otters 11-7. Mike Byrne and Jamie Smith lead the way for the Genrals ins coring while Mitch rouleau played amazing in nets earning himself first star. Ryan O'Connor and Erik Bitmanis scored a few for the Otters while Dave Young blasted four past Rouleau to amke the game close. Great games guys!!
