The Moose were down 3-0 early in the game and stormed their way back, but it was all for not. They got as close as 7-6, before the Chiefs sealed the win with 2 late goals.
Jim Toombs, the top defenceman for the Moose had to leave the game after taking a slapshot off the foot. Like a true trooper, he remained on the bench, cheering on his mates. He was later diagnosed with a broken right foot and will be sidelined from 4-6 weeks.
The Lineup for this historic game incleded forwards Chinski, Kuffner, Deblois, Caleb McIvor, Lawrence Willoughbie, Rupert Houle, Jason French, Chris Goodman and Defencemen, Toombs, Vantour, Ryan Dumont and Jeff Bowers. Special thanks to Darren and the Chiefs for making it down for a very memorable Moose debut. |
