"The BUZZ"

The BUZZ won their first RHL CUP today by winning 2 games to 1 over the Blackjacks.

The league could not have asked for a better final.  Both teams came to play and play they did.  Goaltending on both teams was exceptional.

Game 1 - Blackjacks came out firing and pressured the BUZZ in their zone the entire game.  Their hard work effort paid off with a 5 - 3 victory.  The Blackjacks lead the Best of Three series 1 - 0.

Game 2 - The BUZZ had their backs against the wall and faced a must win situation.  The BUZZ took the early lead and never looked back.  A 12-4 BUZZ victory, tied the series and forced a game 3.

Game 3 - One of the best games the entire season.  Both teams played with heart and left nothing in the tank.  Much like the first game, the Blackjacks came out with a mission.  They lead 6 -3 late in the first period.  The BUZZ put together 2 late first period goals to make the score 6 - 5 Blackjacks going into the final period.

Great period of action by both teams.  The BUZZ scored 4 goals in the period and held the Blackjacks to only one goal.  9 - 7 was the final score for the BUZZ in a game that could have went either way.  Great game by both teams.
