News flash: despite only playing together for a few weeks as a team, the St Laurent Atom C Senators placed second in the recent 32nd Annual Orleans Atom House League Tournament (November 8th to 11th, 2007).   If that were not enough, the team also won the Fair Play award !

The tournament started with a well played 3 -1 loss to the Gloucester Centre Cougars.  Not to be discouraged, the players rallied together in their second game and won 5 -2 against the Blackburn Stingers.  The next day, in an exciting match up, the team won a close 2 -1 game against the Orleans Cobras that guaranteed them a trip to the finals.  In the championship game, they again faced the Gloucester Centre Cougars who eventually won 5 - 1.

The Senator's players, coaches, family and fans were justifiably proud of this impressive start to the season.  Tournament officials went on to state: "Special honours go to the St. Laurent Senators C for being penalty-free during the whole tournament and winning the Fair Play award".
