BUZZ and Red Army to meet in RHL Cup Final

This weekend's playoff match ups could not have been any better.

BUZZ (1st place) vs Money (4th Place)

Although the BUZZ finished 9 points ahead of the Money in the regular season standings, you would have not known that to be the case given the entertaining semi-final these two teams put on today.  Game One - was end to end, hard running action.  The BUZZ pulled out a 1 goal victory over the Money at the end of the first game.  Game Two - Much the same in terms of game play, however the BUZZ scored 5 goals in the first period which pretty much put an end to the Money's planned return to the RHL CUP finals.  The BUZZ will make their third RHL CUP appearance in the three years the league has been around.

Red Army (2nd place) vs Blackjacks (3rd Place)

Talking about an entertaining semi-final, The Blackjacks and Red Army put on a great display of ball hockey action.  Game One - Blackjacks clawed their way back from being down 6 - 3, to winning game one 7 - 6.  Great all around effort.  Blackjacks played their never say die style and it paid off.  Game Two - Red Army wanted to make their first appearance in the RHL Cup final and it showed in how they came out flying.  Three unanswered goals in the first period, compared to the Blackjacks zero goals.  Red Army was on the top of the world heading into the second period.  Blackjacks made it a game by scoring 3 goals in the second, but was equally matched by the Red Army's second period scoring.  Red Army advance for the first time to the RHL CUP  final.

The BUZZ for the third year in a row will play against the Red Army for the RHL CUP on March 17th.   This should be a great battle as these teams play similair ball hockey styles.  It all comes down to a best of three final, with the winner taking home the RHL Cup.

Best of luck to both teams !!!
