The first games of the regular season took place on Wednesday Morning. In the first game the Whalers easily disposed of the Frontenacs by a whopping score of 29-9. In a second much closer game, the Otters narrowly defeated the Generals in overtime, thanks to a nice tick tack toe play by Young and O'Connor, which was finished off by Young. The gens netminder Curtis Meldrum made 45 saves in a loosing effort. As for Frontenacs netminder Dylan haggart he made countless saves on the way to being the games first star. The Frontenacs did not show up for their second game which leads to suspensions and an automatic forfeit. As for the other game the Whalers trampled the Generals by a score of 30-16. The first two fights of the league took place in this game with mike byrne and Darren Bowden going toe to toe. The fights were pretty even except for when Mayo jumped in and drew blood on a cheapshot towards Bowden.
