BSBSLSUMMER LEAGUE
The new summer league has started and if you haven’tjoined you are missing out on one of the best competitions in the past coupleof years.
There are six division 1/2 teams and two division 3/4teams for this season. With a mixture of all different level of players on eachteam results have been fairly even to start the season.
Penalties have been really low and the games have beenplayed with great spirit. Hopefully this will continue and you all rememberthat summer season is for fun and development.
All statistics are being posted within a two to threedays of the games so check in regularly to see the scoring leaders. Also checkout the schedule section to see a full game recap. All this is found at www.hockeypage.com/bsbsl
Also the schedule has changed and after mid Novemberall games will be Sunday nights.
There also has been a lot of talk about continuingthis season in to the New Year. Hilda has booked the ice time from the 11thof January until March the 1st. So this means that you have to letus know if you want to continue playing on your team. If not we will open yourspot to a reserve player. Please email us at skate@skatebiz.com.au to confirm yourspot. If we do not get a reply by the 1st of December your spot willbe given to another player.
The Brisbane Buccaneers have also organized a Christmashockey bash. This will be held on the 14th of December upstairs at Boondall.We will have to sell tickets to this event. You will know more about this nightsoon, so mark it in your calendar.
